Powder Puff Football
It's Homecoming Week! So glad the pageant was last week so I can participate this year :) **Dancers have to be really careful not to get broken -cough,cough-
This is my 1st time to play Powder Puff Football. I was a little nervous, but so excited to learn something new.
Once again I've learned that it takes a whole different set of muscles to play this sport. I had more fun than I imagined and even caught 2 passes (which is great for me). My grade won for the 2nd year and we had some awesome coaches. They were really patient and taught us well. Thanks guys!

I'm a Princess!
I've been 1st Attendant for about an hour now. I'm happy. I'm exhausted. I'm starving! We're stopping for pizza, but I never could have imagined how amazing our stop would be.
This little girl walked up to me and just stood staring up at me. Her dad apologized saying, "I'm sorry, she thinks you're a princess". So of course I smiled and looked down at her and said, "I am a princess. Would you like to try on my crown?" Her face just lit up! As I placed my crown on her head her parents were beside themselves. They looked stunned I would take the time to acknowledge her and commented on how happy she was. I knelt down and talked to her about being "a princess" and how important it is to go to school and learn to do lots of things, and to be a really great friend to everyone. Her dad (and my mom) snapped a photo so she could remember this day and then we said goodbye. As they were leaving I heard her say, "see dad, I told you she was a princess!"
As long as I live I will never forget the feeling I had at that moment. I am a role model. I will stand out. I FELT like a princess! It didn't matter how exhausted I was, in that little girls eyes I mattered right then.

Miss Salt Creek Outstanding Teen
First off, thank you to my family. Without your support I could never be who I am today. Dad- thanks for putting up with all the crazy hours of practice and for letting mom "disappear" for all the pageant stuff. Mom- thanks for dealing with all the scheduling and shopping and fittings and practicing. I couldn't have done any of this without you behind me. Carter & Easton- thanks for helping out while mom was gone, having push-up competitions, and being good sports about all the girly stuff. Mallory- thank you for inspiring me to be the best I can be. You are truly the best little sister and I can't wait to start helping you train for your pageant. Grandma, Becky, April, Miranda, and Marley- thanks for coming tonight to cheer me on and for the pickles!
To all the contestants: Before we signed up for this pageant some of us were already friends, yet some of us were strangers. It's been quite the journey but I have loved getting to know each of you better though the last few weeks. We have all learned so much and become better versions of ourselves. You are all beautiful. You are all talented. Though 2 of us aged out this year, I really hope the rest of you will return next year and show them what you're made of.

To my crazy backstage help (Kynlee, Kristalyn, Regan): You are all amazing!! Thank you for making my night fun. Thanks for the laughs, the touch-ups, and the encouragement. You're great friends and I'm glad you were there for me. Thanks.

To my coaches, teachers, and trainers: I did it! We did it! Thank you for all of the extra hours of help and crazy late night and last minute training. I have learned so much this year. Thank you for taking the time to make me a better me, and for the honesty and direction. I really wish I had pictures with you all...
To my friends and fans: Thanks for always being there for me! It is so great to hear the cheering from the stage and see the fun posters. It means so much to have such wonderful friends that will support my crazy adventures. Thanks for the fun. Thanks for telling me I'm beautiful. Thanks for believing in me. Thank you for everything, I love ya tons!!
To the new Royalty: Yay!!! We are it :) I am so excited to spend the next year getting to know you both and having so much fun building the best memories we can. We are role models. We will be looked up to. How great is it that we can make a difference!? Let's be great!!!
And last, but definitely, not least...
To the Directors (Kristin & Lori), and the MSCOT committee: THANK YOU!! Thank you for all of the hard work and crazy nights you put in to make this program work for us. You are invaluable. Thank you for everything you have taught me. Thank you for your patience. Thank you for your support. Thank you for your encouragement. Thank you for your suggestions. And thank you for everything else you've done for me and my family. You are the best! I'm looking forward to spending the next year with all of you and continuing to learn all I can.
